Staycation with Choctaw Casinos & Resorts

In need of a fun and relaxing getaway? My answer to that question will always be "YES!!". Choctaw Casinos & Resorts- Durant is is the perfect place! Oh, and as a bonus- it's close by! All my Oklahoma locals, if you haven't spent time in this resort you truly are in for a treat! This property has it all from gaming, delicious restaurants, an oasis style pool, luxurious spa, and more! We spent a weekend here recently and already can't wait to go back.

Upon our arrival at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts- Durant, we were treated like royalty! The staff was so welcoming and kind. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have the most amazing experience. After checking in, we got settled into our gorgeous room in the spa tower. Y'all, I could not get enough of this room! The bed was comfortable, the shower was unreal, the lighting in the bathroom was "lit" (haha), the room was spotless, I could go on and on.

After getting settled in , we checked out a new restaurant on the property for a quick lunch - Guy Fieri's American Kitchen +Bar. Patrick ordered the Buffalo Wings and I ordered the Dragon's Breath Chili Cheese Fries. It was so delicious; we highly recommend this spot!

Next we went to my favorite part of the property, the spa! This full-service spa is so luxurious and relaxing. Patrick and I each got a massage and it was the best massage I have ever had! All spa guests gain access to the spa amenities for the day, this includes a Co-ed Relaxation Lounge and Reflection Waters Mineral Bath, men's and women's locker rooms, steam room, whirlpool tub, etc. I was blown away by the aesthetic in the spa as well as the quality of their services, I didn't want to leave it!

After our incredible spa experience, we decided to head over to the pool for the rest of the day! The pool is an extravagant, oasis style pool complete with a swim up bar, gorgeous waterfall, lounge chairs and cabanas! The area is divided into an Adult Pool and a Family Pool area. This area of the property makes you feel like you're vacationing on a tropical island, you will completely forget that you're in Oklahoma! I enjoyed a Cucumber Basil Lemonade from the Oasis swim up bar and it was so refreshing! I'm still dreaming of this pool day.

We then went back up to the room to freshen up for dinner and a night of fun! We had 7:30 dinner reservations at 1832 Steakhouse. Our dining experience was out of this world, amazing! Our server truly went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect. The food was mouthwatering. We started off with the lobster mac & cheese, I cannot recommend it enough. Patrick ordered the 22oz bone-in Prime Rib-eye along with sauteed mushrooms and asparagus with Parmesan and truffle oil. I ordered the 8oz Filet Mignon and added Crab Oscar. The filet literally melted in my mouth and had the best flavor. It paired perfectly with the crab Oscar. We finished off our dinner with cheesecake to-go, which I thoroughly enjoyed later in our room!

Next we went straight over to the slots start off our night of gaming! We played several different games and had so much fun. We both did good but Patrick is way more lucky than I am! It was such a blast! After gaming, we topped the night off on the dance floor at Gilley's! One of our favorite spots to two step the night away. I love when Patrick spins me around the dance floor and Gilley's has such a fun atmosphere.

We had the best time at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts-Durant! The property is gorgeous and the list of things to do is endless. I can't wait to go back and enjoy all it has to offer!
