Thailand Was a Dream

For years I obsessed over Thailand. It was my dream vacation. After graduating college, I rewarded myself by booking the trip with my best friend!

After enduring 23 hours of very uncomfortable flights, we arrived in Bangkok to kickstart our 11 days in paradise. The flights were well worth it! Once in Bangkok, we experienced beautiful temples, floating markets, the elephant sanctuary, amazing food, ALL the shopping, and met some great people. Everyday there was perfect, but getting to finally be with the elephants was one of the best and most memorable days of my life. I AM OBSESSED WITH ELEPHANTS. I have been since I was a little girl and always dreamed of visiting a sanctuary and there are no words to describe the happiness in my heart that day. Next, we flew to Koh Samui - our favorite city in Thailand. This place is gorgeous. We stayed in the most amazing spa resort on the beach and had the most fun swimming in a local waterfall in the jungle. Our next stop was Phuket, home of more beautiful beaches, the tiger sanctuary, and the place that we made the biggest mistake of our lives and tried durian flavored ice cream (durian is a local fruit there that tastes and smells like GASOLINE). It was awful and made us sick and we still laugh about to this day. Our last stop was the Phi Phi Islands. We enjoyed amazing views, snorkeling, good food, and I cut my toe on a piece of choral after waking 1/2 a mile out on a sand bar and made Landon carry me all the way back to the shore because "a shark was going to attack me". These memories are everything and more and I would recommend that everyone go at some point in their life!

BOOKING: We booked the trip through "Affordable Asia". All flights, tours, and hotels were included in the one purchase for around $1800 per person. We highly recommend this trip and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience!
