Vegas on a Budget

So many people spend a fortune on a trip to Las Vegas. Girlfriend, I'm here to tell you - that does not have to be you! I have been to vegas a few times and on my recent trip I did my research and made sure that I didn't spend a penny that wasn't necessary!
FLIGHT
Okay, this is a big one! Never set your heart on a specific date when planning a trip to Vegas! Flight pricess range from $100-$1000+ round trip depending on airline, date, etc. On my recent trip, we paid $129 round trip from OKC. Every other flight option within the month was $350+. Hopper is also a good app to use to keep an eye on cheap flights!
HOTEL
Never pay full price for a hotel in Las Vegas. They are always running specials, always check the specials on the websites of hotels before booking along with Groupon deals!
EVENTS
Getting in to a pool party, dayclub, nightclub, etc. usually costs around $100 justy for the entry fee. Do not pay to get in anywhere! There ar club promoters everywhere in Vegas that get paid to fill their guest lists. They will gladly put you on their vip list for free entry! I have met plenty over my visits. This last time, I messaged them before my trip ad asked what events would be going on during my stay, they sent me a list, I responded with what I was interested in, and boom.. free entry! Simple as that. Two that I have use are Carlos Reyes, (message him on instagram @carlosreyeslv), and Warner Watts. I personally have done this to see the chainsmokers, multiple pool parties, nightclubs, and so on.
FOOD
I like to splurge on a few nice meals while in Vegas and then eat cheap the rest of the time. Food isn't really an issue in Vegas, as any price range is available. I would recommend Wahlburgersas far as something inexpensive because, well I love Mark Wahlberg. Also some locals told us about the $9.99 "steak special" at Ellis Island. This place is old and not fancy at all, but you get a salad, baked potatoe, and a really good steak for $9.99 LOL. We were all pretty shocked at how good it was.
DRINKS
Everyone knows you get free drinks while gambling. Lets be real though, theres like 1 cocktail waitress working the entire casino floor and it takes forever to get a drink sometimes. Also, some of us aren't huge gamblers! My advice: go to the casino bar, play video poker or blackjack on the bar top. When you put in a minimum of $20, it notifies the bartender and you get free drinks. Don't forget to tip! You get much faster service and I only bet like 30 cents at a time so I haver never lost money; usually break even or win a couple dollars!
